Bobopod Malioboro, Yogyakarta

The capsule hotel is cheap for its location, right in the center of Malioboro street. The location is very strategic, roughly 30 minutes walking distance radius from a lot of the major tourist destinations in Yogyakarta City. Walking distances, 5 minutes away from Pasar Beringharjo marketplace and Plaza Malioboro mall. It is 10 minutes away from Yogyakarta station in the North and Vredeburg Fort Museum and the Yogyakarta center point in the south. It is also 20 minutes away from the Yogyakarta Monument, again in the North and the Yogyakarta Palace Complex in the south. There is a major marketplace called Teras Malioboro 2 about 8 minutes walk from the Capsule Hotel, where you can enjoy various kinds of cheap Yogyakarta street food. There is a bus route on malioboro street that you can use to go southward and of course you can also take the various becak and horse carriage transportations to get to places as well. The accommodations provided are sufficient for a compact traveller, be noted you might not be able to fit larger-sized luggages in the capsule room. The capsule hotel  itself is very cozy and comfortable, the temperatures are cold but not cold enough that you get shivers. The capsule hotel  room itself is very cozy and comfortable. It is definitely larger than your average capsule hotel and the capsule room is very quiet, you can barely hear your neighbours. My favourite feature is the lights and built-in speaker options in the capsule room since I was able to set the right mood and environment for me to help me comfortably sleep in. The Service provides each guest with access to a shower room. They provide you with a towel in case you want to take a shower along with a toothbrush and paste for your dental needs (you can get those at the receptionist desk) and there are water dispensers across the area where you can get free refills. There's also a nice balcony that oversees the Malioboro street and a rooftop area that you can relax in, although you can't view Malioboro street from the rooftop area. Also, The Rooftop area also contains the Islamic Prayer room. The Staff are very nice, friendly, and helpful. They were able to assist my friend's travel companion because she had difficulties in accessing her room and the staff were able to make accommodations to transfer her to a room closer to the lobby for easier access. The only downsides for some travellers are the lack of a parking space; however most people would just park at the nearby Plaza Malioboro Mall Parking Lot. Along with the lack of breakfast menu, to which most people would get in either the nearby Alfamart/Indomaret convenience stores and/or Street food vendors and/or restaurants. Another downside is the lack of disability access, mainly wheelchair access since you need to climb a set of stairs to access the lobby. Furthermore, although it might not be as major as the previous one, If you're planning to get the sky capsule room, you might need to do a bit of parkour since the L shaped room would require you to use a bit of climbing to get to your bed. Overall, If I'm visiting Yogyakarta City on a budget and/or with the purpose of tourism/sightseeing. I would choose to stay in Bobobox again. 10/10.

It was fun, especially if you want to catch morning train and doesn't want to spend a lot for a short term stay in a hotel. The place is less than 10 minutes walk to tugu yogyakarta station. But I found a dirty towel hanging on a hook inside my room when I first checked in, so for the house keeping please make sure there is nothing left from the previous guest. Other than that everything was fine. 7,5/10

I reached this accommodation at 9PM, I asked the staff for check in, he said my name, my room type, and told me to sit and wait. Even after 30 minutes of waiting he did nothing, but he helped other people who came few minutes after me instead. Then he sat behind the desk, playing with his phone and completely ignored me so I had to ask twice. Until another staff came and finally helped me while he was just staring at me. It really ruined my night, he didn't even bother to say sorry or explain what happened. Also at that time the only working shower/toilet was on second floor, it wasn't convenient. This one is different than other Bobobox I have tried, it needs a lot of improvement.

The place is clean, the bathroom is also clean and dry, but it's quite tiring going up the stairs, the sandals are quite noisy, if someone passes you can hear it even though it's in the room, the staff are very friendly ✨💞

Seru. Bagi yang belum coba must give it a try. Bersih dingin nyaman. Turun hotel langsung Malioboro. Waw. Toiletnya naik 1 lantai dan kalau waktu tidur atau mau packing di subuh hari kudu pelan pelan biar ga ganggu pods atasnya.

Simpel keren murah dan fun, anak anak jadi punya pengalaman menginap dengan fasilitas canggih.

Minus: 1. Tidak ada tempat parkir jadi harus cari tempat parkir kira 200 meter dari Bobobox. 2. Kamar mandi sharing. 3. Quiet hour tapi masih ada yang berisik. 4. Tidak kedap suara. 5. Harus ganti sendal (disediakan loker) tapi kualitas sendal kurang bagus, terlalu lemas. Plus: 1. Boleh titip koper sebelum check in (tapi setelah check out tidak bisa). 2. Staff ramah, helpful sekali. 3. Berada di tengah Malioboro. 4. Tersedia ruang bersama di rooftop, ada kitchen lengkap dengan microwave beserta alat makan. 5. Kamar mandi bersama yang bersih. 6. Pod yang modern, AC dingin. 7. Tersedia dispenser air panas, normal, dingin. 8. Proses check in dan check out cepat. 9. Pod futuristic, ada suara hutan dan air sungai untuk relaksasi dan membantu tidur nyenyak. 10. Lampu dalam pod yang bisa diatur sesuka hati. 11. Koneksi wifi bagus dan layar pod bisa konek bluetooth untuk jadi speaker

Lokasinya perfect! Keluar Bobopod langsung tengah-tengah Malioboro. Jadi hemat waktu & uang untuk transport kalau cuma mau explor Malioboro. Kebersihannya terjaga serta staf yang ramah dan membantu. Sayangnya kamar mandi lantai. 1 tidak berfungsi, lalu antara tirai dan pod ada celah yang bikin kelihatan dari luar. Siap-Siap paha kenceng, 3 lantai diakses pakai tangga, bahkan baru masuk mau ke lobi langsung disambut tangga.

Untuk yang earth double oke. Tapi tipenya kalau menginap beberapa hari ga ada make up harian kamar. Jadi pastikan kamar selalu di bersihkan di rapihin sendiri, yang agak kurang cuma kamar mandinya rusak lagi perbaikan sama kaya yang di Bandung. Plus ini harus kuat kaki ya. Tangga semua ga ada lift. Dan saran saya sih di toilet duduk adakan dispenser sanitizer buat lap dudukan toilet. Karena rata rata pada jorok pake toiletnya dan ga ada sprayer di toiletnya jadi ga bisa di bersihkan. Harus bawa tissue saniti atau hand sanitizer sendiri.

1. Saat masuk ke area pod dari resepsionis, bau pesing seperti bau toilet menyengat sekali. 2. Pintu masuk menuju resepsionis sempit sekali & tangga sangat tinggi, mungkin karena tempatnya berbagi dengan toko yang disebelahnya hanya disekat-sekat aja. 3. Layout pod-pod dengan toilet tidak nyaman karena sangat jauh di belakang dengan banyak tangga. 4. Area dalam cenderung gelap dan lembab. 5. Finishing interior ruangan lorong dan lain-lain cenderung seadanya sekali. 6. Tidak memiliki area parkir sendiri, jadi kalo bawa mobil siap-siap tarif parkir 100rb/malam di sekitar lokasi. Akhirnya cuma tidur semalam (dari 2 malam 2 pod), terus pindah lokasi.
